Know
Thyself

At the heart of Éden lies the purpose from which everything was born: to offer a safe, supportive, and deeply human space where each person can reconnect with their true essence.
The seed of this sanctuary was planted in 2009, when Paul, our founder, originally from London, underwent a profound inner transformation through his encounter with Ayahuasca and the ancestral traditions of Brazil during a solo journey through the country.
Moved by this experience, a clear calling emerged: to create a place where healing, self-awareness, and inner truth could unfold naturally, with care and integrity.
Eden was born as a refuge for those seeking meaning, clarity, and authenticity on their path. Every aspect of the space has been intentionally designed to honor the values that continue to guide our work today: presence, responsibility, respect for ancestral wisdom, and genuine care for each person who enters this sanctuary.
About
Eden Sanctuary

Preserved Nature
Éden is immersed in a pristine natural area of Chapada Diamantina National Park, Brazil. Mountains, rivers, and the quiet presence of the forest create a living, intact environment that naturally supports deep rest, regulation, and inner clarity. Nature here is not a backdrop, but an active part of the retreat experience.
Energy of the Place
Many people feel a subtle yet unmistakable sense of calm upon arrival — a combination of natural beauty, stillness, and presence that invites the body to soften and the mind to open. At Éden, the process of self-exploration often begins before any formal practice or ceremony.
Intimacy and Privacy
Our retreats are held in small groups, allowing for close guidance and personal attention. This approach ensures comfort, discretion, and a supportive environment where each participant feels respected, seen, and free to move through their process at their own pace.

Practices Rooted in Ancestral Traditions all over the world
The retreat integrates yoga, meditation, breathwork, rituals, ceremonies with ayahuasca, and other contemplative practices. All practices are approached with respect, care, and authenticity, honoring their origins — from Brazilian Indigenous traditions to Eastern wisdom and other ancestral lineages from around the world.
Focus on Emotional Healing, Awareness, and Self-Exploration
Every element of Éden has been designed to support deep inner work. The retreat environment encourages emotional healing, greater self-awareness, and conscious self-exploration, allowing participants to release limiting patterns, gain clarity, and reconnect with their inner truth.
The Human Essence
At Eden, everything begins with genuine care. Our work is guided by presence, attentive listening, and deep respect for each person’s unique path. There is no rush, no performance, and no imposed formula, but a carefully held space where each individual is invited to meet themselves honestly and step into conscious authorship of their own life.
Why Vale do Capão?
Eden Sanctuary is located in a very special place — Vale do Capão, a small village nestled within the Chapada Diamantina National Park.
Vale is known for its international community and alternative lifestyle. Walking through the village, you’ll naturally encounter invitations to many kinds of therapies, practices, and events. Here, different cultures and traditions meet in a unique way: local beliefs alongside Hindu Gods, herbal wisdom alongside Eastern practices, music, movement, and shared ceremonies.
This diversity creates an open and welcoming atmosphere, making Vale do Capão a naturally supportive place to explore yourself and feel at ease within a like-minded community. This is one of the reasons Eden is here.
Embracing it all are the majestic mountains of Chapada Diamantina, rich in rivers and waterfalls. This region is one of the most unique geological formations in South America: its valleys shaped by ancient seas, leaving behind a remarkable variety of crystals and minerals that still decorate the landscape today.
The climate is balanced and pleasant — not too hot for Brazil, and never cold. Eden is located close to the entrance of the National Park itself, without close neighbors or noise pollution. Just nature all around, holding, teaching, and harmonizing.

What is very important about retreats at Eden is that after profound inner work, we invite you to expand your focus to the beauty around you — to the simple happiness and joy of the world. We hold space for you to integrate the experience and bring it into your everyday life, your habits, and your connection with the life around you.
